The Greysheet Catalog (GSID) of the Reichsbank series of Germany in the World Currency contains 671 distinct entries with CPG® values between $1.00 and $2,300.00.
The Reichsbank (German: Imperial Bank, RB) was the successor bank of the Königlich-Preußische Hauptbank (Royal Prussian Bank), the central bank of Prussia from 1847. The Reichsbank was designated the central bank of Germany on 1 January 1876, five years after German unification, and continued in this role until 1945. Its former offices are now those of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Berlin.
Until the end of 1909, Reichsbank notes were not legal tender, although banks were obliged to accept them. Furthermore, under the Münzgesetz (Mint Act) of July 1873, right up until 1906, the Reichsbank was not permitted to issue banknotes in denominations below 100 mark.
