About This Series

The Greysheet Catalog (GSID) of the Allied Military Currency series of Germany in the World Currency contains 31 distinct entries with CPG® values between $2.00 and $75.00.
Begun in 1944, “Operation Wild Dog” was the Allied operation to print and circulate Allied Military Currency (AMC) under the authority of the Allied Military Government for Occupied Territories in Germany. These issues circulated until June 1948. Issues visually similar in design circulated in France (P114 - P126), Japan and Korea (see Japan B501- for both). AMC notes also circulated in Italy (PM10 - PM23).
