£510,000 ($1,700,000) in Treasury Bills without legal tender status and redeemable by Dec. 1, 1785 were approved by the Oct. 5, 1778 Act. By an Act passed at the Mar. 1781 Session this issue was given legal tender status. Printed on thin laid paper. The denominations of $15 and below are similar to the May 4, 1778 printed date issue and have the same cuts.
