The Issue of December 11, 1755 series of Virginia Colonial Currency in the U.S. Currency contains 2 distinct entries.

£40,000 in legal tender Treasury Notes authorized on Aug. 5, 1755 and redeemable with 5% interest by June 30, 1760. These were issued up to Aug. 1, 1756 and some probably bear intervening dates. By the Act of April 14, 1757 interest was terminated on Dec. 1, 1757 and all notes called for exchange by Dec. 1, 1759 because of counterfeits. Signers were John Chiswell, Peyton Randolph, and John Robinson. Other denominations are probable.
