“Rice Orders” payable to bearer in well-cleaned merchantable rice in March 1723/24 out of 1,200,000 pounds of rice to be collected in taxes, with Legal tender at 30s per hundredweight (112 pounds). Signers were Samuel Eveleigh, William Gibbon, and Robert Tradd. Other denominations are probable.
