The Beei Hai Bank series of China Communist Banks in the World Currency contains 241 distinct entries.
The communist financial institution known as 北海銀行 (Northern Sea Bank) was established in August 1938 in Yei County, eastern Shandong Province, a region known as Beihai (Northern Sea). The bank used at least six different English translations of its name, seemingly at random, all of which involve alternative romanizations of Beihai. It also used the Chinese name in the now defunct Latinxua Sin Wenz (Latinized New Script): Boxai Inxang, or just Boxai. Many other issues, especially later ones, carried a Chinese name only.
Also known as: Bank of Peihai, Pehai Bank of China, Peihai Bank, Pei Hai Bank, Bank of Bai Hai, & Boxai Inxang
