1903-S Micro S One Dollar MS VAM-2 Values
Details
The 1903-S Micro S Morgan dollar is a popular variety that experts believe may have been struck by a die punched with an S mintmark intended for the Barber quarter. A few thousand specimens are known to exist, though essentially all are circulated specimens. Perhaps a tiny few exist in uncirculated condition. There are no known PLs or DMPLs. This important VAM variety is designated as one of the MEGARED100 in the Mega Red 10th edition.
This coin is made of 90% silver; 10% copper and has a current melt value of $62.13
Obverse: Portrait of Liberty centered. On the left are found 7 stars with the words E*PLURIBUS*UNUM followed by 6 stars on the right. The date is positioned at the bottom.
Reverse: The heraldic eagle is centered holding a bunch of arrows and branch surrounded by and olive leaves. The words UNITED STATES OF AMERICA * ONE DOLLAR frame the periphery. Mint mark, if any, appears above the letters DO of DOLLAR.
