The Greysheet Catalog (GSID) of the $10 First Spouse (2007–2020) series of Bullion in the U.S. Coins contains 4 distinct entries with CPG® values between $2,320.46 and $2,420.46.

The American Buffalo $5 gold coin is a one-year-only issue that was released in 2008 and struck by the West Point Mint. These 2008-W Buffalo gold coins contain one-tenth ounce of .9999-fine gold and were made with both burnished and proof finishes. The West Point Mint struck a total of 17,429 examples of the uncirculated $5 gold American Buffalo coins while 18,884 examples of the proof specimens were made.

The 2008-W American Buffalo gold coin revives a classic design by James Earle Fraser that was first seen on the five-cent coin in 1913 and remained in production until 1938. These Indian Head or so-called ?Buffalo? nickels, which depict the bust of a Native American on the obverse and an American bison on the reverse, have long been popular collectibles.
