About This Series

The Clydesdale & North of Scotland Bank Limited series of Scotland in the World Currency contains 47 distinct entries.
In 1919, the Clydesdale Bank Limited was acquired by the Midland Bank, based in London. In 1923, the Midland Bank also acquired the North of Scotland Bank (NSB: B1001). On 1 January 1950, the Clydesdale Bank Limited merged with the North of Scotland Bank to form the Clydesdale & North of Scotland Bank Limited.
