The Greysheet Catalog (GSID) of the Nieuw-Guinea series of Netherlands New Guinea in the World Currency contains 22 distinct entries with CPG® values between $55.00 and $4,100.00.

Prior to 1950, issues of the Netherlands Indies circulated in Nieuw-Guinea (New Guinea), but a separate currency was introduced when West New Guinea became the only part of the Netherlands Indies to remain in Dutch control following Indonesia’s independence in 1949. The Netherlands New Guinean gulden was fixed at parity with the Dutch gulden.
