Greysheet Catalog Details (GSID: 11029) Original Packaging: A two-piece, transparent plastic casing with frosted borders held a black fiberboard insert containing holes for the coins. Printed on this insert was the word “Silver” in silver script. The assembled set was slipped into a black cardboard box upon which the words “United States Mint Silver Proof Set • 1994” were printed in silver script. Commentary: It appears that a pattern of sales had already developed by 1994, with the mintage of this year’s set fairly similar to that of the 1993 offering. The level of interest shown in these coins at the time clearly did not give any indication of their later popularity. The Premier Proof set saw its sales decline to just 149,320 units. The coins in that set are duplicates of those in the $21 set, so it is only the packaging that is unique. As many collectors are inclined to seek coins that have been broken out of their original packaging and certified by third-party grading services, the market for specially packaged products of the U.S. Mint is currently limited. Should the emphasis ever change, these distinctive packaging options may prove to be quite scarce.

All CDN prices are based on proprietary market knowledge and technology developed by CDN Publishing, LLC.
CPG® prices represent retail levels. Collectors should refer to CPG values as a starting place for their negotiations, or auction bid reference.
Greysheet/Greensheet prices are wholesale market levels for collectible coins/paper money intended to indicate what a dealer, or wholesale, buyer would pay for the described item in the specified grade. Greysheet/Greensheet represent "sight-seen" values based on a buyer's in-hand review. The actual value can be more or less than this depending on factors including eye appeal and market timing.
Bluesheet (NGC & PCGS) prices represent the highest sight-unseen offers to buy on dealer networks like CDN Exchange. In many cases, there are no active sight-unseen buy offers, so CDN looks to the recent lowest market values for such an item. For this reason, Bluesheet values typically represent the floor of the market for the specified item. CDN only tracks Bluesheet on certain items.
CAC prices are for U.S. coins that meet the standards of the Certified Acceptance Corporation. You can learn more about CAC on their web site.
