Greysheet Catalog Details (GSID: 1925)
The 1931-D Lincoln cent is perhaps the scarcest, most challenging Denver-mint one-cent coin made since 1930. The coin is considerably scarce in all Mint State grades and color designations and becomes extremely scarce in MS65. The coin is rare in MS66 and virtually esoteric in the grade of MS67.
Obverse: Bust of Abraham Lincoln framed by IN GOD WE TRUST on the top periphery. The word LIBERTY to the left of the portrait and the date and mintmark (If any) positioned on the right side.
Reverse: Wheat ears flanking the words ONE CENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on the top perimeter.
