1924-D One Cent MS RD Values
Details
With the exception perhaps of the 1922 pennies, few issues among the 1920s Lincoln cents draw as much attention as the 1924-D, a true semi-key date and one of the most challenging Denver-mint issues from any period in the series. A small but sizable number of Red uncirculated pieces exist, mostly grading MS60-64. The issue is rare in grades of MS65RD or better.
Obverse: Bust of Abraham Lincoln framed by IN GOD WE TRUST on the top periphery. The word LIBERTY to the left of the portrait and the date and mintmark (If any) positioned on the right side.
Reverse: Wheat ears flanking the words ONE CENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on the top perimeter.
