1907 U.S. Philippines One Peso PR Type 2, 80% Silver Values

Details

There are two 1907 Proof Pesos known. They are both different types, with the type 1 being made from the same planchet as the Pesos from 1903-1906 with 0.900 fineness. The type 1 is currently held by the Philippines Central Bank in its Money Museum. The type 2 is struck on a 0.800 fine planchet that was used for the 1908 Peso. The type 2 is available for private collections, but only one is known to exist.

Reverse: An eagle is portrayed in the center atop an American shield with 13 stars. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is written around the periphery with the date at the bottom.
