1892 One Cent PR RD Values

Details

At a mintage as high as 2,745, the 1892 proof Indian Cent makes for a beautiful type coin. Brown pieces are common along with red-brown except for the finest gems which are scarce. Full red gems are scarce also with the finest ones being very rare. Any grade with a cameo is at the very least, scarce with high Mint State grades being rare. Look for attractively toned brown pieces or blazing red surfaces as those are the most desirable and are not very hard to find.

Obverse: A portrait bearing the likeness of a Native American in full headdress framed by the words UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around the periphery. The date is centered at the bottom under the portrait.

Reverse: The reverse bears the denomination of ONE CENT in the center surrounded by a wreath bearing a ribbon with arrows tied in at the bottom center.
