Obverse: Lady Liberty is seated on a rock, holding a staff, and bearing a shield with the word LIBERTY on a flowing ribbon. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA adorns the periphery and the date appears at the bottom center.

Reverse: ONE DIME is centered in the middle of the reverse surrounded by a wreath tied by a bow at the bottom. Mint mark appears below the bow at the bottom.
