Charles E. Barber’s Society Lady (popularly called Washlady) design. IN GOD WE TRUST above, seven stars left, six stars right, date 1879 below.
Reverse Description
Perched eagle holding olive branch (with seven leaves) and three arrows (passing behind the wing). E PLURIBUS UNUM in arc above. Around border, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA / HALF DOLLAR.
