Greysheet Catalog Details (GSID: 5037)
The 1875 Twenty Cent Piece is the first year of issue from the Philadelphia Mint for this extremely short series that is very highly desired by collectors. This date is known for being very well struck. It comes from a lower mintage of 36,910; but it is quite common in every grade up to and including MS64. From AU58 through MS63 there are 6 total PL examples in NGC holders, which is the total for this date. Although, it does exist in MS65 through MS67 in which there are only 67 PCGS and NGC graded examples remaining in existence according to population reports. There are 44 in the MS65 range that are tough to come by and 14 MS66's that are truly scarce. It is the 8 MS67's that are exceptionally rare and are meant for finest known registry sets and advanced type collectors.
Obverse: Lady Liberty is seated on a rock, holding a staff, and bearing a shield with the word LIBERTY on a flowing ribbon. 13 stars have adorn the periphery and the date appears at the bottom center.
Reverse: An eagle is prominently featured with the words UNITED STATES OF AMERICA * TWENTY CENTS around the periphery.

About CDN Prices

All CDN prices are based on proprietary market knowledge and technology developed by CDN Publishing, LLC.

CPG® prices represent retail levels. Collectors should refer to CPG values as a starting place for their negotiations, or auction bid reference.

Greysheet/Greensheet prices are wholesale market levels for collectible coins/paper money intended to indicate what a dealer, or wholesale, buyer would pay for the described item in the specified grade. Greysheet/Greensheet represent "sight-seen" values based on a buyer's in-hand review. The actual value can be more or less than this depending on factors including eye appeal and market timing.

Bluesheet (NGC & PCGS) prices represent the highest sight-unseen offers to buy on dealer networks like CDN Exchange. In many cases, there are no active sight-unseen buy offers, so CDN looks to the recent lowest market values for such an item. For this reason, Bluesheet values typically represent the floor of the market for the specified item. CDN only tracks Bluesheet on certain items.

CAC prices are for U.S. coins that meet the standards of the Certified Acceptance Corporation. You can learn more about CAC on their web site.
