1866 Nickel Pattern 5 Cents PR J-513 Values

Details

1866 Five-Cent Piece. Dies 1-E. All impressions are elusive, and modern scholars have not been able to locate any for detailed examination. An illogical die combination, as both sides have the inscription UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. J-515 is said to be struck on a broad planchet.

Obverse: Washington portrait, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

Reverse: Regular with-rays die of the year.
