Obverse Description
Die refinished OBV. 1-s2. Same as 1 except die has been lapped, removing the small spur on loop of 6, tine at nose, and recutting on the stars, also leaving weaker milling and detail. Outline of cap opposite star 8 has been entirely lapped away. This die, used with Rev. B, prior to lapping is R.5.
Reverse Description
Low 5 REV. B. A1UH, 2C, A3UH. 50 C. is 1 ¼ mm. and high. The 5 is slender, well formed, has a curved top and is a shade lower than 0 which is unusual. A-A is 1 mm. Crossbars 2 and 3 extend well into left wing. I is centered under left side of T. This reverse was first used in 1834, Rev. D (65,65,65,64,64) R.3
