Obverse Description
S7B-UHHb, Date is 8 ¼ mm OBV. 20. S1LE, S7B-UHHb, S8UH, S13LE. Stars are close to milling. S1 is ¾ mm. Dr. S13 is ¼ mm. C. Date is 8 ¼ mm. and well centered. Well preserved specimens, especially early strikes, usually show fine lines around end of the bust from an unfinished die. The first 4 stars are sharp, while the remainder always seem to be flat.
Reverse Description
Jointed I, E in STATES recut REV. V. A1B, A2UH, A3LH. 50 C. is 1 ¼ mm. and high. A-A is slightly less than ½ mm. Lines 3 and 1 of stripes 1 and 4 to crossbar 2 and line 3 of stripe 6 to crossbar 3. There is a small ridge like a joint near the center of I in PLURIBUS. E in STATES distinctly recut at top. (See O.139) (65,64,64,64,63) R.4
