Obverse Description
4 recut over 4 OBV. 9. S1LH, S7B-UHHb, S8B, S13UE. Date is 8 ½ mm. with 82 closer than 18 or 24. Top of first 4 shows to left of final 4. Often called over 1, but close examination will show it is the top of a 4 and not a 1 that is visible.
Reverse Description
AME joined solid at base REV. I. A1LE, A2LE, A3LE. 50 C. is 2 ¼ mm. A-A is ½ mm. Arrowheads are connected by die defects and the two lower ones are solidly joined to shafts above. A small die defect lump is in field between eagle's head and UN in scroll. A small vertical tine is at right side of O in OF. Letters of legend are very large, with words crowded together. Right stand of M in AMERICA is recut. (66,66,65,65,65) R.2
