Obverse: 1824 over a jumble of recuttings OBV. 2. S1LH, S7C-CHb, S8UE, S13B. Stars large and mostly flat. Date is 8 ½ mm. with 24 closer than 182. A small center dot on neck. This over-date has been referred to as over every figure from 1820 to 1823, but careful checking of all these dates has failed to turn up conclusive evidence. So at this time it must be regarded as over a date unknown.
Reverse: Crossbars 2 and 3 extend to right of shield REV. C. A1UH, A2UH, A3B. 50 C. is 2 mm. A-A is ½ mm. Center dot between crossbars 4 and 5. Right side of T and left side of I in line. Line 1 of stripe 1 extends to crossbar 5. (66,65,65,64,63) R.1
