The Central Bank of Manchou (CBM) was founded in the capital, Changchun, in June 1932 through merging the four note-issuing banks operating in Manchuria before the Japanese invasion: the Frontier Bank (China B43701), the Kirin Yung Heng Provincial Bank (China B30601), the Provincial Bank of Heilongkiang (China B34801), and the Provincial Bank of the Three Eastern Provinces (China B32341).
