The Isole Jonie (Ionian Islands) series of Greece in the World Currency contains 0 distinct entries.

Towards the end of April 1941, Italian forces occupied all of the Isole Jonie (Ionian Islands, IJ) except Cythera, with the eventual intention of annexation into Italy. In order to solidify control over the islands, Italian authorities issued notes to replace at par notes from the Bank of Greece, the Cassa Mediterranea, and the Greek state. These notes were valued at 8 Ionian drachma to 1 Italian lira.

Under the authority of the Bank of Italy, a new fund, the Cassa Speciale per le Isole Jonie (Special Fund for the Ionian Islands)

was established in Corfu, in order to introduce the new currency. However, these notes bear the name of no issuing authority. They are signed by Dr. Icilio Sansoni, who was an inspector at the Italian Ministry of the Treasury from the 1930s to the 1950s.
