After the fall of the Duchy of Warsaw in 1815, 22 chests (the actual number of notes is unknown) of 1- and 2-talar notes were handed over to the government of the Polish Kingdom, an automous entity within the Russian Empire. The Central Decommissioning Commission of the Kingdom of Poland dealt with the formal withdrawal of notes and regulated the debts of the former duchy’s government.
