The Greysheet Catalog (GSID) of the People's Bank of China (行銀民人國中) series of China National Banks in the World Currency contains 16 distinct entries with CPG® values between $20.00 and $8,000.00.

Created from the merger of Beihai Bank, Huabei Bank, and Xibei Farmer Bank, the People’s Bank of China (PBC) was established by Chinese Communist Party forces in December 1948, 10 months before the foundation of the People’s Republic of China on 1 October 1949. The People’s Bank of China has been the sole banknote issuer throughout the existence of the PRC. In 1983 it became the country’s central bank. For more information, visit www.pbc.gov.cn.
