Obverse Description

On the alpaca (also known as German silver) center, the national coat of arms with the eagle facing left, its feathers resembling plates of armor. On the bronze-aluminum outer ring, the legend ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS above, with a half-wreath of oak and laurel below.

Reverse Description

On the alpaca center, the innermost design on the Aztec Calendar Stone, with the god Tonatiuh in the middle. On the outer ring, the denomination $10 at the top and DIEZ PESOS at the bottom, with the date at upper left and the mintmark M at upper right.
