1929-D Half Dollar MS Values

Details

The 1929-D, 1929-S and 1933-S (1938-D aside) are the last of the Walking Liberty Halves that are worth more than melt at very low grades. At just over a million minted of the 1929-D’s, which is actually relatively low, all uncirculated grades are extremely common. Mint State grades up to and including MS66 are scarce; but the small handful of MS67’s are actually very rare. Luster, toning and strike are all average for this issue. Except for some gems which can be quite lustrous.

up This coin is made of 90% silver; 10% copper and has a current melt value of $24.19

Obverse: Liberty portrayed standing on a rock, facing left, with flowing robes and her right hand outstretched with a star-covered drapery flowing behind her. The word LIBERTY frames the periphery and date appears at the bottom center. and the motto IN GOD WE TRUST is in the right field.
