Canada. New Gold and Silver Proof Coin Collection Celebrates FIFA World Cup Tournament
The Royal Canadian Mint release an impressive collection of collector coins celebrating the World Cup.

This year from June, Canada, along with the United States and Mexico becomes the world’s biggest sporting stage and with that designation, the chance to be part of something unforgettable. A record 48 teams are taking part in FIFA World Cup 2026 which kicks off at the historic Estadio Azteca Mexico City on the 11th June 2026. Canada will host 13 of the 104 matches, with Toronto and Vancouver among the tournament’s 16 North American host cities. This year’s FIFA World Cup 2026 Games are the first to feature three host countries, Canada, Mexico and the United States and the largest tournament in FIFA history, concluding in the US on the 19th July
During the history of the tournament, there have been two iterations of the World Cup Trophy. The first example was the Jules Rimet trophy, awarded from 1930 to 1970 and only a select group of people are ever allowed to handle this original trophy. The current FIFA World Cup Trophy features two stylised players holding up the world. The names of the winning countries are engraved on the base. Weighing in at an impressive 6.175 kilograms or, 198.5 troy ounces of 18 karat gold, the FIFA World Cup Trophy is exclusively awarded to the winning team for a brief post-match celebration. The rest of the time, the most sought-after treasure in all of sport remains under the most stringent security precautions within FIFA headquarters.

Coin 1, $20 - Silver. Designed by Canadian artist Glen Green, the reverse side features the official FIFA World Cup 2026™ emblem centred, with the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy placed within the vertically stacked hosting year of 26. The bold 2 and 6 shapes from the official emblem scatter across the background, their vibrant colours creating a dynamic, celebratory backdrop. The official event designation FIFA WORLD CUP 26 in English and COUPE DU MONDE DE LA FIFA 26 in French is placed at the top and bottom of the coin, respectively. Enhanced with selective colour representing the official FIFA World Cup 2026 emblem and colours, captures the energy, diversity, and cultural vibrancy of the three host nations.
Coin 2, $20 – Silver. Designed by Canadian artist Tony Bianco his reverse side commemorates FIFA World Cup 2026 through its striking image of a soccer ball soaring into the net, with wind lines emphasizing motion and energy — a tribute to the speed, power, and passion of the world’s game. The official event designation FIFA WORLD CUP 26 in English and COUPE DU MONDE DE LA FIFA 26 in French is placed at the top and bottom of the coin, respectively.
Coin 3, $50 – Silver. Design by Canadian artist Glen Green, the sport, the spirit of FIFA World Cup 2026 the players’ skill, and the iconic FIFA World Cup 2026 Trophy all are celebrated on the reverse side where a soccer ball engraved in Ultra High Relief - UHR becomes a canvas for the tournament’s story. The official FIFA World Cup 2026 logo is struck with incused lettering of the numerals 2 and 6 at the centre and surrounded by the images of three action-filled player panels. The ball is framed by a ring of green malachite—a nod to the two malachite bands at the base of the most sought-after treasure in all of sport, the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy. The obverse side features a soccer ball pattern behind the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Canadian artist Steven Rosati. The denomination 50 DOLLARS is placed just under the King’s likeness.
Coin 4, $100 – Gold. Designed by Canadian artist Tony Bianco This coin proudly showcases the official FIFA World Cup 2026 host city patterns of Toronto and Vancouver, where 13 matches will be played throughout the 39-day tournament. Set atop a soccer ball, the many shapes forming the FIFA Canada 2026 maple leaf mosaic emblem offers an inspiring representation of unity through diversity and sport. The design features the FIFA Canada 2026™ emblem, a maple leaf mosaic that represents the cultural diversity of the country set against a soccer ball with enhanced curvature for a more sculptural presence. Behind the ball, abstract shapes from the FIFA World Cup 2026™ official logo form a dynamic backdrop, highlighting the host city patterns for Toronto and Vancouver. The obverse side features the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Canadian artist Steven Rosati. The denomination 100 DOLLARS is placed just under the King’s likeness.
Coin 5, $200 – Gold. Designed by Canadian artist Tony Bianco, the coin’s reverse features a map of North America overlaid with a classic soccer ball pattern, taking on the appearance of a globe while three players representing all three host nations are depicted in dynamic motion, connecting fans and players on the pitch, in the stands, and around the world. The official event designation FIFA WORLD CUP 26 in English and COUPE DU MONDE DE LA FIFA 26 in French is placed at the top and bottom of the coin, respectively. The obverse side features the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Canadian artist Steven Rosati. The denomination 200 DOLLARS is placed just under the King’s likeness.
Coin 6, $350 – Gold. Designed by Canadian artist Glen Green, the reverse side features the official FIFA World Cup Trophy flanked by silhouettes of cheering fans overlaid with stylised maple leaves, reflecting Canada’s official FIFA World Cup 2026 host country emblem. The official emblem is twice featured on the outer ring that frames the celebratory image and the official event designation FIFA WORLD CUP 26 in English and COUPE DU MONDE DE LA FIFA 26 in French is placed at the top and bottom of the coin, respectively. The obverse side features a soccer ball pattern behind the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Canadian artist Steven Rosati. The denomination 350 DOLLARS is placed just under the King’s likeness.

Available from the 15th March, each option is encapsulated and presented in a specially designed heavy-gauge card case with illustrations appearing on the certificate of authenticity and outer card box.
