1861-S Paquet Double Eagle, rare 1930-S Indian Eagle and early U.S. gold also rank among July 16-18 event highlights.
With 600 coins struck, the 1867 Indian Cent is a much better date in its proof series. Scarce up to gem PR65 at which point high-end gems, red pieces and those with cameo surfaces are very rare. Look for attractively toned brown pieces or blazing red surfaces as they are highly sought after and are not too difficult to locate.
Obverse Description
A portrait bearing the likeness of a Native American in full headdress framed by the words UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around the periphery. The date is centered at the bottom under the portrait.
Reverse Description
The reverse bears the denomination of ONE CENT in the center surrounded by a wreath bearing a ribbon with arrows tied in at the bottom center.
