The Greater Japan Imperial Government series of French Indo-China in the World Currency contains 13 distinct entries.

The Greater Japan Imperial Government (GJIG) issued these notes for Japanese troops garrisoned in French Indo-China during World War II. They were not used for local transactions, as the Japanese government considered the troops to be “security forces” rather than an occupying army. It appears that only a small number actually circulated, although very few were later recovered for destruction.

The Greater Japan Imperial Government also issued notes in Japan (Japan B101-) and notes for use in occupied territories during World War II (see Burma, China, Malaya, Netherlands East Indies, Oceania, and Philippines).
