The Greysheet Catalog (GSID) of the Banco Industrial del Salvador series of El Salvador in the World Currency contains 19 distinct entries with CPG® values between $175.00 and $3,000.00.
On 25 June 25 1895, the National Legislative Assembly granted a 25-year concession to Narciso Avilés, Mariano Guzmán, Antonio J. Martínez, and Manuel Trujillo to found the Banco del Salvador in Santa Ana with a capital requirement of two million pesos. However, to avoid confusion with the Banco Salvadoreño, the new institution was renamed the Banco Industrial del Salvador (Industrial Bank of El Salvador) on 24 September 1895.
