The Greysheet Catalog (GSID) of the Kassowy-Billet Xięstwa Warszawskiego series of Duchy of Warsaw in the World Currency contains 30 distinct entries with CPG® values between $120.00 and $2,500.00.
After the fall of the Duchy of Warsaw in 1815, 22 chests (the actual number of notes is unknown) of 1- and 2-talar notes were handed over to the government of the Polish Kingdom, an automous entity within the Russian Empire. The Central Decommissioning Commission of the Kingdom of Poland dealt with the formal withdrawal of notes and regulated the debts of the former duchy’s government. Notes with a long thin rectangular KOMIS CENTRAL LIKWID stamp on the back were intended for purchase. The intended purchase never occurred and notes eventually entered the collectors’ market.
