The 1997 25 Kuna is part of a series of Circulating commemorative coins struck from 1997-1997. Designated as a Business (MS) strike, this coin is made of Bimetallic: brass centre in copper-nickel ring (Brass: 92% Copper, 6% Aluminum, 2% Nickel).
Obverse: The value is in the centre and a marten running to the right in the contours of the number "25" with the word "KUNA" below. The arms of Croatia are in the lower central part of the outer ring with a laurel branch to the left and an oak branch to the right and the country name in the upper part of the ring
Reverse: A map of Danube region with marks for Croatian towns and rivers and the borders of Croatia and neighbouring states. The base of the map makes a square which is interlaced with checkboxes in the area of Croatia. Along the lower side of the square is the region's name and along the left side of the square is the inscription "HRVATSKA". Along the right side of the square are the date and the signature of the engraver (MD) below
