Surrounding all, ! DIEZ PESOS ! and the weight, date, and fineness: 28.888 G ! 1960 ! LEY .900. The mintmark M is to the left of the snake in the coat of arms.
Reverse: Busts of Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla and Francisco Madero, with HIDALGO and MADERO, respectively, in small letters below the busts. Legend ! INDEPENDENCIA Y LIBERTAD ! and SUFRAGIO EFECTIVO NO REELECCION. Above the portraits, the date; to the left of the portraits, 1810; to the right, 1910.
