1855 Wass, Molitor & Co. 50 Dollar Gold MS K-9 Values

Details

The 1855 Wass Molitor $50 was the last coin of its denomination issued in the United States until the Panama Pacific $50s were struck in 1915. Of the 75 or so known pieces, the finest is a gem uncirculated example that was once part of the Garrett Collection. Any original, uncirculated example would be considered a part of the condition census. A single specimen was recovered from the S.S. Central America.
