Obverse: Crowned and armored young bust of King Frederik III with long straight hair facing right partially within a beaded circle. Legend outside.
Reverse: Big convex-sided oval shield with Danish Arms above a cross with long arms encircled by a ring of 11 round shields with arms of Danish territories; all inside an outer circle. Above, cutting the pearled circle, is the Danish crown. Below on the lower arm of cross the pendant of the Order of the Elephant. King's motto outside circle with date and mintmark at end.
