In addition to the regular seven circulating denominations Swiss circulation coins, from 5 centime to 5 francs, the annual coin set for 2025 also features the newly designed 10-franc bi-metallic circulation-type coin. From this year onwards, the coin sets in proof and brilliant uncirculated qualities will include the exclusive 10-franc coin on which only the year will change in the future. The bi-metallic coins are minted with an outer golden coloured aluminium-bronze ring and cupro-nickel centre.

Designed by Remo Mascherini, senior engraver at the Swiss Mint, the obverse of the coin depicts an allegorical image of the head of Helvetia, gazing in an upward direction. Encircling the primary design on the outer ring is the text CONFŒDERATIO HELVETICA representing the Latin name for Switzerland. The reverse features a stylised wreath of beech leaves, the most common tree in Switzerland. The wreath is open at the top and frames the denomination 10 FR shown in bold lettering. The letter B is placed just under the wreath indicating the Berne Mint and the primary design is surrounded with a beaded edge along the rim. This bi-metallic coin will only be available exclusively in the coin sets. The new presentation of the coin set is being marketed as both a collector’s item for numismatists and investors as well as a popular gift item for a special souvenir for visiting tourists.
