Six More Major Sets of the D.L. Hansen Collection Cross to CACG
Recently, the Collection’s Buffalo Nickels, Liberty Seated Dimes, Quarters, and Halves, along with certain Dollar series and Early $5 were submitted for crossover.
In continuation of a milestone in numismatic excellence, CAC Grading is proud to announce that more of the illustrious D.L. Hansen Collection has been successfully crossed to CAC Grading holders. This landmark achievement underscores CAC Grading’s growing reputation as the leading grading service, “where premier coins find their true value,” indicated Ron Drzewucki, President of CAC Grading.
The D.L. Hansen Collection, widely regarded as the most significant and complete U.S. coin collection, represents an extraordinary dedication to the art and history of American numismatics. With its unparalleled rarity, quality, and comprehensiveness, the Collection serves as a benchmark for collectors and enthusiasts worldwide.
Recently, the Collection’s Buffalo Nickels, Liberty Seated Dimes, Quarters, and Halves, along with certain Dollar series and Early $5 were submitted for crossover. The addition of these series to CACG holders reflects not only the trust collectors have in CACG’s ability to accurately and consistently assess the finest coins, but it also signifies the growing recognition that the best collections deserve to be housed in the most discerning holders.
What’s more? By the end of January, the D.L. Hansen Collection will be added to the CAC Registry. “Moving the Collection from where it has been for the past few years to the CAC Registry is a new and exciting challenge for the Collection and me personally, but the sophistication of CAC’s Registry has made the early stages of the move very easy,” stated John Brush, President of DLRC and Curator of the D.L. Hansen Collection.
A Legacy of Excellence in Grading
CAC Grading remains committed to its mission of providing collector-friendly, transparent grading that enhances trust in the marketplace. "Having portions of the D.L. Hansen Collection cross into CACG holders is a testament to our focus on preserving the legacy of elite collections through meticulous and consistent grading standards," noted John Albanese, CEO of CAC Grading. "We are honored that one of the finest numismatic assemblages in history continues to find its true value with CACG."
Where Premier Coins Find Their True Value
CAC Grading is committed to serving all collectors. While stewards of storied collections like the D.L. Hansen Collection receive most of the publicity, CAC Grading is equally committed to enthusiasts building their first sets. CAC sees its role as being the most trusted partner in the numismatic community and continues to grow into that role, just completing its first full year as a grading service. As more premier coins and iconic collections make their way into CACG holders, CAC will remain steadfast in its promise to uphold the integrity and heritage of the hobby. CAC was formed in 2007 by John Albanese, a respected authority on coin grading and the rare coin market, along with twenty-two leading members of the numismatic community. Because certified coins of the same grade can be of varying quality, CAC’s mission was to advocate for the hobbyist by establishing an extremely stringent standard of grading. As a verifier of previously certified coins, CAC only recognizes coins that meet the highest standard with the now famous green sticker. Out of all the coins submitted to CAC, less than half receive the honorable CAC sticker. As a result, the CAC sticker serves as an unmistakable means of identifying premium coins for the grade.
In 2022, John Albanese assembled over one hundred and fifty leading members of the numismatic community with a purpose to reclaim accuracy and consistency in grading. After all, why merely sticker a previously certified coin when the same stringent standards can be applied within the context of a grading service? Thus, CAC Grading was born! The only difference now is the grade assigned to a coin is a true representation of that coin. Boasting a team of world-class graders including Ron Drzewucki, John Butler, among others, CAC is committed to applying an unparalleled level of expertise to every submitted coin. As a result, hobbyists can have total confidence in a coin certified by CAC.
