Obverse: On the silver center, the national coat of arms with the eagle facing left, its wings resembling plates of armor. On the bronze-aluminum outer ring, the legend ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS above, with a half-wreath of oak and laurel below.
Reverse: Extending across the outer ring and the silver center, the Palace of Cortés in the background with a costumed Chinelo character in the right foreground. Above the palace, ESTADO DE / MORELOS; below, PALACIO DE CORTÉS. On the outer ring, $100 at the top, the mintmark M at far right, and 2006 at the bottom.
