Reverse: Slightly to the right of center, the head of a Mayan of ancient Palenque, possibly Pakal the Great, in semi-profile to the left. To left of the head, 50¢ PALENQUE is placed vertically atop the date, which is placed horizontally. At far right, the mintmark M.
